Soft Nylon Pant with PUL Waterproof Bonded Coating
This is the "Klienert's Duralite" waterproof pant. Quite an excellent pant in both comfort and functionality. They are constructed from very soft denier nylon much like lingerie panties that has a very thin polyurethane laminated coating that makes them waterproof. The outstanding property of these pants is that they can actually breathe, allowing air to pass through the PUL and nylon which helps reduce moisture buildup from perspiration under the pant while still maintaining their waterproof functionality. The nylon material material surface is inside the pant and the PUL surface is on the outside. The micro-fine nylon will wick small amounts of moisture for containment while allowing air to pass through thus promoting evaporation of the liquid and keeping the wearer dry.
As can be viewed in the photos, the waist and leg bands are also constructed of soft stretchy nylon which makes them very comfortable and helps contain wetness inside the pant. As we all know, there is no waterproof pant that will contain excessive wetness 100%, however, these pants do a pretty good job in the containment department. We also know that containment is also a product of the absorption factor of the garment being worn under the pant. The outstanding factor is their level of comfort while wearing throughout the day if you are constrained to wearing a waterproof garment over a pull on incontinence pant or over a full brief style diaper.
Due to their breathe-ability, there are many teens and women who enjoy wearing these pants with a sanitary pad inside during their menstrual time or for small bladder leakage issues. That's how comfortable they really are. It's even a great pant for the guys with a male incontinence pouch or pad. However, you guys might experience a higher degree of perspiration inside the pant than the ladies due to an elevated level of movement while working throughout the day. For you men who have desk jobs they are excellent. These pants are also very quiet and don't rustle making any noise with movement or exercise. No one will know you are wearing them.
I think you will be surprised at how comfortable and functional these pants really are. They are also quite durable and will last a very long time with proper care. Best washing instructions in my own experience is to use a Urine-Off style spray to thoroughly coat the fabric and waist and leg openings as well. Let that product soak in for approximately 15 to 20 minutes as it will actually dissolve any urine solids and micro-crystalline structures most commonly found in urine. Then wash in a liquid detergent that contains "Oxiclean" as you would ladies lingerie. Even though nylon and PUL can be dried in a cloths dryer, these pants will sustain a much longer life if they are hung and allowed to air dry. When you receive them they will be a nice pristine white, however, over time they might discolor slightly due to washing and urine staining if you do not use some type of urine solvent cleaner to properly eradicate the urine contaminants that can impregnate the nylon and PUL materials.
Manufacturers recommended sizes actually run a bit larger than stated in the size chart. My waist measurement is 44" and my thigh measurement is 27". The size Medium is very snug on me but I can wear it. The best fit for me is the size large. So, you may want to purchase the next size smaller than the chart actually state. According to the chart I would choose 2 sizes smaller than the stated sizes on the chart. The leg openings on these pants are slightly facing forward similar to feminine lingerie which adds to the comfortable fit feature of these pants.
